Attendance

Reminder:

• The parent / guardian will receive an Automated Call each day the student is absent.

• Parents / Guardians,  you can keep track of your student’s attendance by logging into the Parent Portal. 

>During arrival or return to school, the student must bring an Absence Note. If you do not have one, you may ask for a form in the front office. 

• You may also fill out our Online Reporting Form. Just notate the date(s) of the absence & submit documentation to support the absence. 

Research has proven that truancy, in most instances, leads to delinquency, drug involvement and dropping out of school. When students become truant, everybody loses; students lose the benefits of instruction and ultimately credit.

Consequences:

• Attend less than 90% of class = loss of credit
• At 3 or more unexcused absences a district truancy intervention will be initiated for student and parents
• If unexcused absences reach or exceed 10 or more in a six month period, student and/or parent will be referred to Truancy Court for further intervention and monetary fines will be assessed

Student is home ill (Student is being monitored at home)	You may either handwrite or type a note for our attendance ofiice informing the school the reason you are keeping the student home. The note can either be sent in person to our front office or uploaded electronically utilizing the link below.
Consecutive days (Multiple days absent in a row)	If your student will be absent for multiple days in a row for the same reason, just submit 1 form and notate the dates of absences Please note that if a student has more than 3 consecutive days absent due to a personal illness they must bring a doctor's note verifying the illness that caused the student's extended absence from school
COVID-19	You only need to submit the form on that first day along with the required documentation Doctor's note Positive test results
Funeral	Please submit documentation to include the days the student will be absent Send a copy of the obituary
